Dr. Roland Meier, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Meier received his M.D. from the University of Zurich, Switzerland, and his M.D., Ph.D. from the Université de Lausanne, Switzerland, where he also trained as a pediatrician and pediatric oncologist. Before joining industry, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Berkeley, California.
During his career Dr. Meier has led the launch of several new drugs and indications, and created a route for patients to receive life-extending therapies far sooner through the development and implementation of early access programmes.
After his postdoctoral fellowship, Dr. Meier joined the pharmaceutical industry in Medical Affairs, where he launched a drug. He moved into clinical development following his training in pharmacovigilance. He has worked across a wide range of treatment modalities — including gene and cell therapies, immunology, radiotherapies and drug combinations — in rare disease, immunology, oncology, hematology and neuro-oncology.
Dr. Meier takes a hands-on approach, and has also held leadership positions at major pharmaceutical companies before becoming a consultant and serving as chief medical officer (CMO) at startup biotech companies.
Dr. Meier is the owner and founder of Princeton MedSolutions LLC. He works as an independent clinical consultant, medical monitor and safety physician, and has held various leadership roles as medical monitor, clinical consultant and fractional CMO.
